Do Today's Technologies Really Deliver?

There is a dazzling array of technology and software options (see go2web20.net) available to us ... do they deliver? Is distance education seeing tangible benefits?

I believe that today's technology is delivering. If anything it is the facilitator and making sure you are using the technology that does meet the needs of your students. As the facilitator you are the catalyst of the technology you use with your students.

Thanks Vanessa. I think you gave a powerful presentation and provided evidence yesterday that supports your position on this. Everybody wants to study geography now!!!

I think Bill's keynote covered this issue very well. Experienced distance ed teachers know the issues they face when working with students. The key is for schools to identify tools that directly address these issues and then implement the tools with support and training. If the tool is any good its use across a school will grow.
